Certification

Our club holds a Tripoli record for the highest number of certifications in one day. We credit this success to our prefect, the TRA/NFPA safety codes, equipment, our experienced staff, and pre-flight/safety briefings. To continue with our excellent safety track record and continue to support our club and hobby, please read the following as our rules and procedures have changed:

  • Sign In for the day you are attending the launch for your certification, on the sign-in sheet (select the Tab for the day you plan to certify).
  • On the Day of launch you must attend the Flyers meeting at 9 am.
    • If you are not present you will not be able to certify that day.
  • Have your Rocket Checked by the Prefect for flightworthiness without the motor.
  • Check over your paperwork and make sure it is all filled out and signed. Please have this done before noon.
  • Sign Waiver and Pay the required Fees. Pick up your Flight card
  • Have your rocket Loaded and ready for launch, have the Prefect perform the final check . They will give you an ID number to be Placed on your three items: 1) Rocket, 2) Flight card(Filled Out), 3) Cert sheet (Filled out and signed).
  • You will be ushered to the RSO table to be assigned a pad for Launch, You will follow LSO announcements for when the range is clear and you will be able to load your rocket onto the pad..
  • When LSO Says Range is clear you will be able to recover your rocket.
    • You must bring back your flown rocket to the Prefect for the post flight inspection and sign off of your certifications.
